The Top Flite XL 7000 set is a complete golf package, it consists of a 460cc titanium composite driver with graphite shaft, 2 stainless steel fairway woods with stainless steel shafts, 2 stainless steel hybrids, 6 perimeter weighted stainless steel irons (6-PW, SW), mallet putter, stand bag, and 5 headcovers.
Impressions
Judging from the oversized driver clubhead, the perimeter weighted irons, the mallet putter, and hybrids, the Top Flite XL 7000 clubs seem to be ideally suited to the beginner to intermediate golfer. They’re super forgiving and incredibly well made given the low price. They retail generally for around $299.99, ideal price if your shopping on a budget and you’re a beginner!
**Please Note: The XL 7000’s are now discontinued! An even better option would be the Callaway Strata Complete 18 piece set, that’s even cheaper too!
From what I can tell the clubs seem to be well received online with the vast majority of customers more than happy given the reviews and 5 star ratings. Considering most people who have positive experiences don’t leave reviews this is very impressive.
Some of the Good

- Driver has a huge sweetspot
- Irons are well balanced
- Mallet putter is well balanced and has a smooth swing
Some of the Not so Good
- The bag is very compact inside (with all 18 clubs inside it will be, it’s only legal to carry 14 on the course anyway so this should be okay)
Overall
From reviewing these clubs online, the general feeling I get is that these clubs are an absolute steal. If you’re looking for some low budget but high quality clubs and you’re a beginner/intermediate golfer then the Top Flite XL 7000 Golf Package is perfect! The clubs offer great consistency with the oversizing and perimeter weighting, and they also offer greater distance with the light graphite shaft titanium driver and lighter steel irons. If I could go back to buying my first set of clubs these would definitely be them. Don’t make the mistake I did of opting for some overpriced bling bling clubs, stick with something like this!
